This course covers the major types of peripheral components found in building automation systems (BAS) and how to properly select and apply them in the field as well as how these devices are used in the control process. Topics include standard input/output ( I/O) wiring; temperature, humidity, pressure, flow, and safety devices; actuators and dampers; control valves; power supply and monitoring devices; transducers; relays and contactors; motor controls; enclosures; control theory; control loop design; installation; commissioning; and tuning.
