Elementary Methods of Teaching Health
This course is designed for Utah state educators who are seeking a professional educator license through an Alternative Pathway to Professional Educator Licensing (APPEL). This course focuses on Utah's Health Triangle to illustrate the interconnectedness of physical, mental, emotional, and social health. Participants will learn to apply their foundational knowledge to plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences that meet local, state, and national standards. Emphasis will be placed on utilizing diverse resources, accommodations, technology, and metacognitive strategies to address the varied needs of all learners.
