Workforce Training Programs

This 11-hour course meets for two consecutive days. At the end of the course participants will be able to detect and correct pool problems including contamination, filtration, disinfection, water balance and heating or air conditioning problems; calculate the amount of chemicals needed to adjust pool contamination or imbalance; take and pass the CPO exam.Participants must pass an examination given at the end of the training to receive a microcredential, which is valid for a period of five years.

The 81-hour Medical Device Manufacturing: Processes and Practices Microcredential program includes four required courses. This program addresses the foundational competencies outlined by the medical device industry and covers basic core knowledge and skills required for entry-level positions. Two additional elective courses are also available. Individual course content aligns with national industry-recognized standards. A core knowledge and skills microcredential will be awarded upon successful completion of the four required courses in this program. This training is appropriate for those new to the industry, transitioning from a related discipline, or professionals wanting to refresh their knowledge. Successful completion of this four-course program qualifies the student to earn the Medical Device Manufacturing Processes and Practices Microcredential.

The Utah Notary Public Training Workshop is a one-day, five-hour workshop to teach students how to be an effective and conscientious Notary Public. Students learn how and why notaries witness and authenticate the signing of our most important documents and transactions, including mortgages, Powers of Attorney, contracts, adoption papers, advance medical directives, and many other transactions in our everyday lives. Students are instructed on how to register for the State's required online exam, apply for their Notary Public license, obtain a bond, and purchase a Notary stamp. Completion of this one-course program qualifies the student to earn the Utah Notary Public Training Workshop Microcredential.
