ATTENTION: ONLY active Kansas Firefighters are eligible to take KFRTI courses; if you are not an active Kansas Firefighter, DO NOT enroll in this class. Contact the Institute at kufire@ku.edu or call our toll free phone number (866-804-8841) to request special permission to take this class. Enrollments are monitored daily and unauthorized (non-Kansas firefighters) will be removed from the course and their registration fee refunded.

This seminar is Part 2 of a blended learning format with a focus on the development of lesson plans for fire service organizations. Students will develop course learning objectives, complete course design documents, instructional materials, student evaluation instruments and class evaluation instruments. Additionally, all students are required to deliver a 15-minute presentation of their seminar-developed materials to the class on the final day of the seminar. Note: All students must first complete the online portion (Part 1) of the training before attending.
