Course detail: Hazardous Materials Awareness Training (In-Person)
This course provides entry-level emergency responders with foundational knowledge of hazardous materials incidents. Students will learn to recognize and identify hazardous materials, understand the role of first responders at the awareness level, and initiate protective actions including notification and scene isolation. Content is delivered in a traditional classroom setting with scenario-based tabletop exercises.
