Course detail: Common Passenger Vehicle Rescue

Common Passenger Vehicle Rescue is a Two-day (16 hours) course designed for fire fighters and other emergency responders to teach them the proper procedures for extricating accident victims from vehicles. Students will receive training in establishing command, rescue sector responsibilities, rescue vehicle preparation, vehicle placement at the scene, extrication hazards, gaining access, and patient care and disentanglement.

Special Info:
Persons taking this course must be physically fit and do moderate to heavy lifting. Personal protective equipment is to be furnished by the student and includes: OSHA or ANSI approved helmet (fire helmet is okay), safety goggles or approved safety glasses (fire helmet shields do not meet this requirement), leather work gloves, hard-toed boots, and Fire department turnout gear or NFPA 1951 technical rescue operations ensembles.
