Robert Eicher
Biography: Rob Eicher has returned to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University after working almost two decades as a broadcast meteorologist for local television stations in several markets. Rob developed the course "Introduction to Television Weathercasting" and helped to launch the broadcast meteorology program at ERAU, while working on-air for Orlando area television stations. Rob left Central Florida to become Chief Meteorologist for a Charlotte TV station. Most recently Rob worked on-air in Boston. Throughout his career Rob has been very active with the American Meteorological Society (AMS). He previously served as Chair of the AMS Board on Broadcast Meteorology and is currently the Chair-Elect of the AMS Board on Best Practices.
