Biography:

Anthony (Tony) Gonzalez is an Embry-Riddle alumnus who received his BS in Aeronautical Science in 1991 (Prescott campus). He also graduated With Distinction from ERAU - Worldwide in 2007, earning his Master's degree in Aeronautical Science with a concentration in Aviation/Aerospace Education Technology.

He served for five years in the United States Army as an Air Traffic Controller, working in a tower facility in Germany and then a tactical ATC unit while stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC.

After his military service, he became an Airline Dispatcher, working for a Cincinnati-based Part 121 international airline. Shortly thereafter, he earned his Flight Engineer rating and flew B-727s for almost 8 years.

Tony currently works for the Federal Bureau of Investigation and has been a photographer assigned to the FBI Laboratory in Quantico, Virginia for the past 10 years. He has been deployed around the world documenting many high-profile scenes using high resolution still, 360° spherical, and aerial photographs.

Since earning his Part 107 Certification in 2017, he became one of the lead instructors and course developers for the FBI's Field UAS program.

Tony was away from flying for a while, but has spent the past 3 years regaining his currency and proficiency. He is currently working on getting his CFI ratings recertified - after 30 years!
