Biography: Dr. Piper Brummerstedt is an adjunct assistant professor at the ERAU-Worldwide College of Aviation and College of Business. She is also a licensed attorney (TN BPR# 020831) with extensive experience in corporate and regulatory law, having previously practiced at Waller Lansden Dortch and Davis, PLLC in Nashville, TN. She holds a J.D. (Doctor of Jurisprudence) from the University of Tennessee and is licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Tennessee.With over 20 years of teaching experience, Dr. Brummerstedt has developed a deep passion for education. She began her teaching career in 2003 as an adjunct instructor in Business and Contract Law in Tennessee, later serving as the Legal Studies Program Director at a state college in 2008. There, she taught a wide range of law courses as well as professional leadership and ethics.Currently, Dr. Brummerstedt teaches multiple law courses at ERAU-Worldwide, including Aviation/Aerospace Law, Aviation Law and Risk Management, Aviation Legislation, and Business Law. She also has experience teaching Bankruptcy Law, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Employment Law, Health Care Law, Legal Ethics, Legal Research, and Law & Technology.Outside of her professional life, Dr. Brummerstedt enjoys spending time with her husband, a retired Maintenance Master Chief (U.S. Navy), their two children (a 20-year-old son and 15-year-old daughter), and their five pets (3 dogs and 2 cats). After moving multiple times due to her husband's naval career, they are now settled in the beautiful Space Coast of Florida, where they enjoy the beach and all the area has to offer.In her free time, Dr. Brummerstedt enjoys reading, working out, walking her dogs, and spending time with her family.
