Course: One Email, Three Perfect Strangers, and a Story That Unfolds Across Three Continents (OSH-3CONTINTS)

Nancy Wright Beasley, a local author of two books about the Holocaust, shares how a series of random events and unexpected alliances took her repeatedly to Lithuania and Israel to speak at embassies, open an international conference, get interviewed by a specialty news network, comfort hospitalized children, and lead two Rotary International grants that placed state-of-the-art physical therapy equipment in a Lithuanian children's hospital. Today, Nancy continues her work here in Virginia and beyond to raise awareness about bullying, discrimination and antisemitism through the use of a targeted curriculum that teaches students to be the kind of 'upstanders' like those who risked their lives to save countless Jews during World War II.
