This introductory-level course starts at the beginning, discussing finance as an organizational setting and legal forms of business and continues on to cover the responsibilities of financial managers, roles of finance in a typical business organization, and relevant financial markets of interest to financial managers as well as corporate financing and the role the stock market plays in the business world. This course provides a comprehensive look at creating a financial plan, estate plan, and investment strategy. Attendees will learn about recent tax law changes, managing cash flow, optimizing social security, risk management, and tactics for building an investment portfolio to accomplish their goals.

This class is relevant if you are developing a retirement plan, nearing retirement, or recently retired. We will cover various retirement-related risks to avoid and share ideas on how to help mitigate them. Additionally, we will cover social security optimization, advances in long-term care planning, estate planning, and investment portfolio construction.
