This certification course trains instructors to teach QPR for Suicide Prevention to their community. Participants first learn about the nature of suicidal communications, what forms these communications take and how they may be used as the stimulus for a QPR intervention.

New Indiana State Law allows more delegation of duties for allied dental professionals! The course will cover patient and operator positioning,and proper polishing technique by quadrant. Dental Assisting: Fluoride Administration Professional fluoride treatment is recommended for dental patients to prevent cavities and to re-mineralize weakened enamel. The course will cover the application of fluoride gels and varnish.

This in-depth course includes didactic instruction on orthodontic procedures, tooth morphology, and occlusion, as well as laboratory and clinical instruction. Must be a graduate of an ADA-Commissionon Dental Accreditation Dental Assisting Program.

This in-depth 4 credit hour course includes didactic instruction (syllabi, lectures, and handouts) on tooth morphology and occlusion, as well as laboratory instruction on typodonts using rubber dam. Class I, II, and V restorations: composite and amalgam. Class III and IV restorations: composite. Students will utilize both high speed and slow speed handpieces. Students are encouraged to work on clinical competencies in their dental office during the 9-week course. No special clothing required. However, please bring safety glasses. Recent graduates - please bring your typodont. Eligibility Requirements: 1) A graduate of an ADA- Commission on Dental Accreditation Dental Assisting or Dental Hygiene program or a third year Dental Hygiene student. 2) Department Approval (to verify ADA CODA graduate)
