This certification course trains instructors to teach QPR for Suicide Prevention to their community. Participants first learn about the nature of suicidal communications, what forms these communications take and how they may be used as the stimulus for a QPR intervention.

QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer, three simple steps that can help save a life from suicide. People training in this technique learn to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to defuse the situation. Save the life of a friend, colleague, sibling, or neighbor by taking this training.

Basic Life Support is designed to teach the skills of CPR, including the use of an AED. AHA First Aid teaches skills that can be performed with minimal equipment until medical personnel arrive.

Basic Life Support is designed to teach the skills of CPR, including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and relief of foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO). Participants receive a CPR Completion Card from the American Heart Association.
