One scholar of Dante has written that The Divine Comedy is 'a single crystal with 13,000 facets: each line reflecting the essential unity out of which the poem is made.' We will investigate key themes and ideas of this Italian Renaissance allegory with a view to enriching our knowledge of this dramatic vision.
