Instructor: Laurie Rogers

No image available Biography: Laurie Rogers has been a grant writer since 1995 in the Richmond region. She has worked for a variety of clients, focusing primarily on social services. In addition to writing grants, she works with agencies to achieve their overall fundraising goals. Prior to being a grant writer, Laurie was the Director for a $30 million Capital Campaign, Director of Development and Annual Fund Director at The Valentine in Richmond. She has also served as a fundraising volunteer for her college and graduate school for many years. She has taught fundraising courses at VCU and UVA for the past 20 years, along with numerous workshops and seminars, which keeps her focused on current trends and changes in the non-profit sector. She also takes webinars, workshops and any other opportunities for learning to keep her skills current.Laurie has served on the boards of many organizations, and is currently on the Board of the Children's Hospital of Richmond Foundation.Laurie has a BA in Political Science from Sewanee and a Master's of Public Policy from Duke University.
