Course Detail: NC-BREW101 - Brewing Foundations: Brewing 101
This course will take students through the brewing process from milling grain to kegging the final product. Students will learn the fundamentals of brewing through this hands-on workshop. Hands-on experiences include Hop Immersion, Mini-Mash and Yeast Pitching. Students will learn and discuss the following concepts and processes:
- Essential ingredients
- Beer Styles
- The Brewing Process
- Brew House Training
- Cleaning & Sanitation
- Brew House Terminology
- Off Flavors
- Beer Sampling
