Rachel Corwin
Biography:
Rachel Corwin is a clarinetist currently studying Music Education and Music Performance at Purdue University Fort Wayne. She has been playing clarinet for 11 years, and she loves to play at churches, holiday programs, and other local events in the community. Rachel has studied clarinet under Daniel Healton and Dr. Kylie Stultz-Dessent. She has played with numerous ensembles including PFW's Symphonic Wind Ensemble, 2022 Intercollegiate Honor Band, Bluffton Street Fair Band, and Fort Wayne Community Clarinet Ensemble. Additionally, she has been a featured soloist with the Kokomo Park Band and PFW Community Orchestra. Rachel enjoys teaching marching band, concert band, and clarinet lessons at various schools in the Kokomo and Fort Wayne areas. In addition, she is a certified Kindermusik instructor and enjoys teaching weekly music classes. During the summer, Rachel assists with the Indiana Clarinet Experience, an annual week-long clarinet camp. Outside of playing and teaching music, she loves to draw, paint, and spend time with friends and family. Rachel aims to make a positive impact in the lives of the students she teaches through music.
