Martyna Bleke
Biography: Martyna Bleke was born and raised in Rzeszow, Poland. In 2005, Martyna earned her Master of Arts from the Karol Lipinski University of Music in Wroclaw where she studied cello under Professor Lidia Grzanka-Urbaniak. During her studies she took part in numerous international Musical Master Courses, giving her the opportunity to study with professors such as Hidemi Suzuki, Glaus Richard, and Ulf Tischbirek. Throughout the years Martyna has been an active participant in various orchestral projects. She has recorded the works of Brahms in the studio of the Polish Radio and Television in Wroclaw, and had the pleasure to work under the great conductor of the New York Philharmonic - Kurt Masur. In 2005 Martyna had the honor to play at the grand opening of the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin as a member of a Polish-German orchestra.Since 2005, Martyna has been an active member of several ensembles. She worked for two and a half years as a member of the Prima Volta Quartet and Divertimento String Quartet as an employee of Celebrity Cruises. Martyna then spent a year in Japan as a member of a cello-piano duo for the Tsuruga Group in Akan-ko Hokkaido. Martyna became band leader in 2010 for the Adagio String Quartet onboard Holland America Line cruise ships. While leading the Adagio String Quartet she was responsible for managing, organizing, and rehearsing the group and the 300+ piece repertoire. Martyna was also responsible for integrating the quartet in many production shows, guest musical entertainment, concerts featuring the quartet, and private events onboard. In 2014, Martyna moved with her husband to Fort Wayne, Indiana. Since moving to Fort Wayne Martyna has been performing at the Pointe Church as a member of their Worship Team. She has also performed for weddings, other events around the city, and does remote session work for various artists around the US and abroad.
