Participants will learn about the relationship between tobacco and behavioral health populations, including individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD). This educational event will review factors associated with high rates of tobacco use in behavioral health populations and the impact tobacco use may have on treatment and recovery.
Participants will review current pharmacological approaches for the treatment of tobacco dependence, evidence-based best practices for treatment integration and supportive policies, and will have the opportunity to practice motivational interviewing strategies for working with tobacco-addicted patients.
Participants can earn up to 5 CEU credits.
