Course Detail: PER703 - Salad Dressing Bootcamp

Learn to make healthy, chemical-free salad dressings!

Attend this course taught by The Olive Twist, retail olive oil store owner, Lori Berndt.

Students will sample store-bought salad dressings made with chemicals and artificial ingredients and compare them to simple, flavorful, homemade dressings. Taste the difference and be educated on how to make your own dressings using chemical-free ingredients such as quality extra virgin olive oil and aged balsamic.

Students will make two vinaigrettes during the course and will also sample two pre-made vinaigrettes from The Olive Twist. Each student will enjoy vegetables for sampling and be provided with a full salad to dine on during the course. At the end of the meeting, students will receive a recipe book with the recipes for the vinaigrettes shared during the course as well as a few bonus recipes and a discount card that can be used to shop in-store at The Olive Twist.

Both sections of this course are now full. We are no longer taking registrations.

Lori Berndt is president and co-owner of The Olive Twist, Inc. and has been in the olive oil industry since 2010. She studies the in-depth world of olive oil by focusing on olive oil chemistry, tasting & sensory analysis, and through her close relationships with growers, importers, and olive oil experts.
