Course Detail: PER302 - Appleseed Writing Project Summer Youth Writing Camp (Elementary School)

This camp is open to students entering grades 4, 5, or 6 in the Fall of 2022.

This camp is designed for students who enjoy the experiences of writing in a noncompetitive, nonjudgmental environment where they have the freedom to allow their pens to follow their hearts. Included will be an introduction to poetry, narratives, and short fiction, along with such topics as voice, character, and narrative. Students will also learn how to critique, revise, and publish their finished products. No previous creative writing experience is necessary for this elementary school camp - only a willingness to explore different kinds of writing and to participate in the daily activities. All students must be able to behave in an appropriate manner at all times. Elementary and Middle School Writing Camps will culminate with an open house event for families where students will display their writing. Camps meet at the PFW Campus with transportation provided by parents or caregivers.
