RATIONALE: The student upon completion of the class will be able to use lean tools and leadership techniques.
2. Understand Philosophy, Process, People/Partners, and Problem Solving
3. Develop a complete understanding of leadership principles.
4. Understand and be able to apply primary lean tools
5. DMAIC - Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. Understand and be able to implemented improvements using Six Sigma Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC).
6. Soft Skills/Change Management - Understand the change process, examine why people resist change, learn to prepare, execute and reinforce change.
7. Leadership/Followership - Understand models of leadership, access individuals' styles of leaders, describe tactics for enacting transformational leadership, define followership and discuss tactics for managing various follower styles.
8. Interpersonal Skills for Thriving within Organizational Change - Learn essential communication skills for organization change, explore how clear expectations and communication enhance teamwork, learn how to encourage "healthy conflict," and examine situational factors influencing the effectiveness of different conflict management styles
