Course Description:

Join an information session to learn more about Aviation Ground School at GovState and Flight School at Bult Field South Suburban Airport. 

Pre-Requisite: must be 16 years or older

Pilot Training - Discovery Flights

Course Fee: $200 

Register here for your Discovery Flight with GovState and a Continuing Education representative will contact you to schedule your flight. 

Course Description: This is a one-hour flight experience with an instructor.  You will learn essential aviation principles, safety procedures, and aircraft controls.  You will get to fly the plane. 

Private Pilot Ground School

Course Description: The objective of this course is to orient the incoming student to flight training and provide the theory and concepts needed for preparing for the FAA private pilot aeronautical knowledge test (airplane). Flight time fees not included. Topics include: airplane systems, aerodynamics, flight instruments, procedures & airport operations, communications procedures, weather, regulations, weather services, aircraft performance, navigation, route flight, and cross-country flight planning.

Certified Flight Instructor Ground School

Course Fee: $1,536

Self-Paced, Start Anytime

Course Description:  The objective of this course is to become a Certified Flight Instructor and be able to teach the following courses: rivate Pilot License, Instrument Rating License, and Commerical Pilot License. Prerequisite: Private Pilot License, Instrument Rating License, and Commerical Pilot License. Recommended to be 16 or older, may begin training at an earlier age.

Commerical Pilot Ground School

Course Description:  The objective of this course is to train for a commercial pilot license where students will receive and log ground training from an authorized instructor on several aeronautical knowledge areas. Prerequisite: Private Pilot License and Instrument Rating License. Recommended to be 16 or older, may begin training at an earlier age.

Course Description:  The objective of this course is to train for an instrument rating where students will receive and log ground training from an authorized instructor on several aeronautical knowledge areas. Prerequisite: Private Pilot License. Recommended to be 16 or older, may begin training at an earlier age. 

Course Title: Drone Flight School / DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise Thermal

Course Fee: $99

Course Description: Thermal Drone (Fire/Heat) with 56 X Zoom, Law Enforcement (Loudspeaker and RTK centimeter accuracy), Mapping, Waypoint, Roof Inspection, Solar Panel Inspection, Features, Settings, AI, Safety, Return To Home, Software, lens and filter theory, earn money, GIS, and so much more. This training program focuses on teaching participants how to operate the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise Thermal model. This drone is equipped with thermal imaging capabilities, making it suitable for tasks like search and rescue, inspections, and other professional applications. The training would cover how to use the drone's features, including its thermal camera, safely and effectively.
