When Rick Grizzell saw news reports and videos of the massive destruction and death caused by Hurricane Hellene in 2024 in the mountains of North Carolina, he decided to take action to help the victims who had lost so much. Out of his own pocket, he bought food, warm clothing, tents, heaters, and sleeping bags, loaded a large U-Haul truck and drove to North Carolina where he connected with relief workers and church organizations. Since then, he made numerous trips to NC, and in 2025 he was referred to churches in southwest VA to help flood victims who had suffered overwhelming losses. You will get a glimpse of the scope of the destruction and the need for help. Rick's work continues with the help of so many people who have been inspired by his efforts.
