Course: Great Scientists and Their Science (Cosmology, Quantum, Relativity, Life) (OSH-GRTSCNTSTS)

We'll begin each session with the history (biography) of the Fathers (and Mothers) of these four sciences: Cosmology; Quantum physics; Relativity; Evolution-Biology. The second hour will attempt to summarize the development of the science and the present knowledge of the science. 1.) Copernicus, Galileo, Kepler and Newton: Getting Started Ð Blowing off the Top of the Universe 2.) Our Weird and Wonderful Universe/Cosmology (From the Big Bang, Black Holes to Now): A Panorama 3.) Modern: Einstein and Relativity (Special and General): The Very Large Ð Molding The Universe; Hawking 4.) Modern 2: Bohr and The Fathers of Quantum Physics: The Very Small - Starting The Universe 5.) The Bright (Supernovae et al.) and The Darkness (Dark Matter, Dark Energy, et al) 6.) Searching for/Finding ET (Are You There?) 7.) Life: Origins, Darwin and Evolution; Molecular Biology 8.) Life: Weird and Wonderful; a Panorama of Life. Discussions with and by the audience at the end of each presentation.
