Course: The Human Body: A Primer on Your Organ Systems (OSH-HUMAN)
This course will be presented in eight sessions: 1.) Medicine - Introduction and Overview; 2.) Cells and Genetics - DNA and Beyond; 3.) The Cardiovascular and Respiratory (Lung) Systems and the Common Disorders; 4.) The Gastrointestinal, Liver, Gall Bladder, and Pancreas Systems; 5.) The Genitourinary Systems - Kidney, Ureter, Bladder, etc.; 6.) The Reproductive Systems (Male and Female), the Endocrine Systems and the Breast; 7.) The Musculoskeletal and Lymphatic Systems; the Skin; and 8.) The Nervous Systems - The Brain and Beyond. We will cover the Structure (Anatomy), Function (Physiology), and Common Disorders (Pathology) of each of these Systems. We will not cover individual's personal disorders, but these body systems in general. This course is not intended to be an individual's medical advice, and those personal questions should be referred to the individual's own health care providers.
