This course will provide detailed information on why menhaden are critical to the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem, how this species is managed, the political challenges around menhaden conservation, and upcoming opportunities for reform. The Chesapeake Bay Foundation has worked on menhaden for over two decades, but amid intensifying warning signs, CBF and its Forage Campaign Manager, Will Poston, are renewing efforts to advance menhaden conservation to protect the struggling Chesapeake Bay estuary.
