Course: How Do We Know What We Know? (OSH-DOWEKNOW)
One of the most important ways to understand history is change over time: A photograph is one minute of this change over time. Photographs bring that one moment of time into focus, allowing the viewer to better understand specific time periods.
A number of Jewish photographers illegally took photos, hiding them with the hope that they would be found after the war. Nazis took and collected photographs to use as propaganda to use during the war. Examine these pictures and learn how to better interpret Holocaust history.
