Course: The Art of Chocolate: Ritual, Design, and Desire (OSH-ARTOCHOC)

Let's explore chocolate beyond a mere sweet treat. From sacred cacao vessels in Mesoamerica to European luxury objects and contemporary art installations, this lecture traces how chocolate has shaped (and been shaped by) ritual, empire, science, and aesthetics. Through object-based analysis and cultural history, we'll consider chocolate as a material that carries meaning, power, and desire.
