Course Detail: PER669 - Ceramics: Glaze Testing and Pottery Making - NEW!

The focus will be on testing ceramic glazes that will be used to finish the pottery that you make during the class. The basic components of a ceramic glaze will be discussed and how they respond to material substitutions and firing atmospheres. Participants will also have the opportunity to make and glaze pottery forms during open lab times. Demonstrations and one-on-one instruction will be included.
 
Who should attend?
These classes are designed for all skill levels. No prior ceramics experience needed.


* Students will need to supply the following: 1-gallon bucket, towel, apron, plastic bags, KN-95 disposable mask, and a hand blender like this one HERE.

Students are also required to supply a pottery tool kit. Kits can be purchased from either of these suppliers:
