Course detail: Community Health Worker Core Competencies-Quick Start

The Quick Start CHW Training Program equips learners with the core knowledge and skills needed to confidently enter the field and serve their communities effectively. This comprehensive, fast-track training covers a wide range of core competencies, blending foundational knowledge with practical application to ensure participants are job-ready. This accelerated training combines interactive lectures, case studies, role-playing exercises, and real-world scenarios to prepare participants for the complexities of the CHW role.


Course Materials

Course materials, including outlines, presentation copies, and supplementary materials, will be accessible through Canvas, KU's online learning system. Instructions will be provided upon completed registration for how to set up your KU online ID to access Canvas.


Pre-Registration Application Process

Prior to registering, you must complete an applicant screening process, which includes a brief application form and short phone call. A link will be provided here when the KU School of Medicine pre-registration opens.
