Course detail: Sniper Basic through Guardian Training Solutions
Sniper Basic is a performance-based course designed to provide law enforcement officers with the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to serve as precision rifle operators. Through classroom instruction, range exercises, fieldcraft activities, and scenario-based training, participants will develop proficiency in precision rifle marksmanship and the fundamental principles of law enforcement sniper operations.
The course emphasizes weapon-system competency, sound decision-making, operational readiness, and the practical application of sniper skills in law enforcement environments. Participants will receive instruction in rifle setup and zeroing, positional shooting, ballistics, range estimation, camouflage and surveillance, and low-light operations. Training is physically and mentally demanding but remains focused on developing relevant, job-related capabilities rather than military-style selection activities.
Participants who successfully complete all course requirements will be prepared to apply these foundational skills within a law enforcement sniper team, subject to their agency's policies, selection requirements, and operational protocols.
