This 80-hour course meets one day a week for 1.5 hours, over a 10-week period. Students should expect to spend an additional 6.5 hours per week for quizzes, readings, and additional study. The course prepares learners to sit for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam, a foundational qualification for careers in securities, investments, and financial services.

SLCC Workforce Training and Education has partnered with Fidelity Investments, Inc. and Securities Training Corporation (STC) to provide study materials, online practice exams, and instructor-led online Zoom reviews to provide this foundational education for business, customer service, and sales agents in the securities and investment industries. FERPA Privacy Waiver: Participation in this course constitutes a willingness to share the Exam Scores with the sponsoring organizations: Fidelity Investments, Inc. and Securities Training Corporation (STC), with no ongoing obligation between the students and the sponsors. Important: The Securities Industries Essentials (SIE) Exam is administered through an independent testing authority. Completion of this course is not a guarantee of employment.
