Workforce Training Programs

This 12-hour course is designed for center-based and home-based child-care providers. This course meets over six weeks via live webinar on a platform called Class for Zoom. Participation includes attending each two-hour synchronous session as well as gathering material for homework. As a result of this training, students will be able to gather data needed for a budget, calculate the cost per child, evaluate tuition rates for profitability, and create both a one-year and five-year budget. Each participant will receive up to two hours of individual coaching by appointment. Participants can earn 12 Career Ladder credits from the State of Utah, as well as 12 National Administrator Credential (NAC) continuing education units.
This 16-hr training meets two hours per week via live webinar. As a result of this training, students will be able to create a business plan, demonstrate HR policy development and documentation, design a marketing campaign, and build a monthly budget. Participants can earn 16 Career Ladder credits from the State of Utah, as well as 16 NAC continuing education credits.
This 16-hour course meets two hours a week over eight weeks via Zoom. It is intended for child-care providers, who desire to build and strengthen their leadership teams. As a result of this training students will be able to identify characteristics of effective leaders; develop effective, emotionally intelligent teams; adapt their communication styles to various relationships; evaluate various approaches to conflict resolution; and execute effective coaching plans. Participants can earn 16 Career Ladder credits from the State of Utah, as well as 16 National Administrator Credential (NAC) continuing education units.
