This workshop meets twice, 2.5 hours per session. As a result of this 2-day workshop students will be able to apply focus, composition, background selection and lighting to photographs; demonstrate file management; and practice proper use of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. No experience necessary, however basic knowledge of ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed would be useful. The workshop includes hands-on learning of flash photography so a camera capable of external flash would be useful.

Students will learn the basics of genetic genealogy and how it is used to resolve family history research cases. They will learn methodologies and best practices for Y chromosome (Ycs), mitochondrial (mtDNA) and autosomal DNA (atDNA) test results and how to apply this knowledge in extending and verifying traditional genealogical research.
