Certificate Programs

This course builds on the topics and techniques introduced in the basic to intermediate SolidWorks course and will prepare students to take the Certified SOLIDWORKS Professional (CSWP) exam. Students will advance from simple shape modeling to fully parametric complex models while becoming a more efficient and effective designer for real-world design industries. Successful completion of this one-course program qualifies the student to earn the Advanced SolidWorks certificate.
The AutoCAD Civil 3D course is designed for civil engineers and surveyors. The software permits the rapid development of alternatives through its model-based design tools. Students will learn techniques to organize project data, work with points, create and analyze surfaces, model road corridors, create parcel layouts, perform grading and volume calculation tasks, and layout pipe networks. Successful completion of this one-course program qualifies the student to earn the following two certificates Autodesk™Certificate of Completion for AutoCAD Civil 3D and the Workforce Training Certificate for AutoCAD Civil 3D.
This computer-aided drafting (CAD) course develops the foundational skills needed to use AutoCAD tools to create technical drawings. Through hands-on application, students learn to navigate the AutoCAD interface and utilize fundamental drawing commands and techniques to create 2D drawings. This is a Windows-based training. Successful completion of this one-course program qualifies the student to earn the following two certificates Autodesk™ Certificate of Completion for AutoCAD Fundamentals and the Workforce Training Certificate for AutoCAD Fundamentals.
This accelerated course discusses fundamental to more advanced features of Revit. A lecture and project-based classroom helps participants progress from project start-up through construction documentation. Successful completion of this one-course program qualifies the student to earn the following two certificates Autodesk™ Certificate of Completion for Revit Comprehensive and the Workforce Training Certificate for Revit Comprehensive.
The Basic Computer Skills & MOS program is intended for students who are new to computers and need to learn how to navigate and complete basic computer actions. The program includes training in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and leads to students certifying as a Microsoft Office Specialist in those three disciplines. Students start by learning basic computer components, practicing keyboarding skills, learning how to use the internet, email and social media, plus job readiness skills. Successful completion of this three-course program qualifies the student to earn the Basic Computer Skills certificate.
The Basic Computer Skills & MOS program is intended for students who are new to computers and need to learn how to navigate and complete basic computer actions. This program takes up to 252-hours, and up to 48 weeks. This program meets 3 hours, twice a week.Students learn basic computer components, practice keyboarding skills, learn how to use the internet, email and social media, plus job readiness skills. The program includes introductory Microsoft courses in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Students learn to use these software applications to create a current resume, personal budget, and slide presentation.Students will then work-through online intermediate Microsoft courses in a self-paced lab setting. Students access practice tests to prepare for three proctored Microsoft Associate certification exams in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Upon successful completion, students will be able to create templates, manipulate documents, graphics and pictures, collaborate and track changes on documents, analyze data and tables and manipulate pivot charts.Once students have successfully passed all four sections, they will be awarded three Microsoft Office Associate certifications and the SLCC Workforce Basic Office Computer Skills with Microsoft Certifications certificate. Students are then considered certified as a Microsoft Office Specialist.
This 93-hour course meets for three hours, once a week over a 31-week period. As a result of this training students will be able to categorize components and protocols of cybersecurity elements; assess security venerability's and suggest improvements; understand the balance of effective/restrictive cybersecurity elements; and examine historical cybersecurity attacks and resolutions. Upon successful completion of this one-course program, students are qualified for the CompTIA Security + Certificate and the TestOut Security Pro Certificate.
This comprehensive Web Design and Development Program encompasses a range of courses designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary for a career in web development. The program covers a wide array of topics, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, WordPress, UI/UX design principles, a real-world project completed in class with a business collaboration internship, and a capstone project to synthesize learning outcomes.

By certifying in MS Excel, students demonstrate competency in the fundamentals of creating and managing worksheets and workbooks, applying formulas and functions, creating ranges, tables, charts, and objects. Program includes MS Excel Associate certificate exam, a minimum score of 700 is required to certify. This exam covers the ability to create and edit a workbook with multiple sheets and use a graphic element to represent data visually. Successful completion of this three-course program qualifies the student to earn a Microsoft Excel Associate Certificate.

Certifying as an Excel Expert demonstrates competency in creating, managing, and distributing professional spreadsheets for a variety of specialized purposes and situations. The program includes MS Excel Expert certificate exam, and a minimum score of 700 is required to certify. Successful completion of this two-course program qualifies the student for the Microsoft Excel Expert certificate.
Become a Microsoft Office Specialist by certifying in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This up to 120-hour program is self-paced and meets two days a week for 2.5 hours over a 24-week period in a lab setting. These labs are optional for the student. The course covers Intermediate to Advanced course work in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Students sit for exams when they are ready, by contacting the course lab aide who will proctor exams. As a result of this training students will be able to create templates, manipulate documents, graphics and pictures, collaborate and track changes on documents, analyze data and tables and manipulate pivot charts, practice taking Word, Excel & PowerPoint exams to prepare for certification. Once students are certified in 3 Microsoft Office applications, they are considered a Microsoft Office Specialist.

Participants will learn the basic operations of QuickBooks Pro Online to create and maintain a fully functional set of books for a small business. As a result of this training students will be able to build a company file; prepare a chart of accounts and add accounts; and manage customers, vendors, and items. Successful completion of this one-course program qualifies the student to earn the QuickBooks Essentials certificate.

Students will progress from basic design models to full parametric models, assemblies, and drawings. Successful completion of this one-course program qualifies the student to earn the SolidWorks Parametric Modeling certificate.
