Course detail: Responsitory: Powering Goals with Self-Determined Data

This course is designed to train educators, disability service providers, researchers, and others to use the Responsitory data collection and management system. The Responsitory supports the administration, collection, and tracking of self-determination measures, measures you enter into the system, and more. It can also support data-based decision making

Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the concept of self-determination and its importance for student and adult success.
  • Assign, track, and support interpretation of validated, self-determination measures through the Responsitory.
  • Create customized surveys with accessibility features using the Responsitory.
  • Use results of self-determination and customized measures to inform research, instruction, program planning, and data-based decision making.

Course Outcomes
Participants will develop a strong understanding of the features and use of the Responsitory system and how it supports self-determination assessment and data-based decision-making. They will leave the course prepared to use the Responsitory system successfully within their own work to administer, track, and collect self-determination and customized measures.

This course is ideal for:
  • Middle and high school educators.
  • State-level administrators.
  • Disability service providers.
  • Disability researchers.

Prerequisites
>No prior experience with Goal Time is required.
Basic familiarity with self-determination and self-report measures is helpful but not mandatory.

Required Materials
No textbooks are required.
Access to the Responsitory system, Responsitory User Guide, and YouTube video tutorial access will be provided electronically upon course completion.

Additional Details
The course consists of five asynchronous modules, each taking approximately 30 to 45 minutes to complete. Participants will receive a certificate of completion, and access to the Responsitory.
