Course detail: Reliability Engineering Certification Program Work Product

To earn a Reliability Engineering Certification (REC), candidates must complete all four required courses within three years and fulfill a work product requirement. The REC Work Product requirement demonstrates reliability engineering competency through documented workplace application.

 

The work product submission includes:

1. Asset criticality assessment

2. FMEA (failure modes effects analysis)

3. RCA (failure root cause analysis)

4. Proposed PdM maintenance or other control strategy

5. Documented results

6. Presentation and defense (held via virtual meeting)

 

Upon successful completion of the work product element, you will receive a university certificate and have the privilege of using the REC letters beside your name.

Once you enroll, please contact us at professionalprograms@ku.edu so we can coordinate your enrollment with the LCI group to let them know you have selected the University of Kansas as the official university certificate for your work product.

A refund less a $30.00 cancellation fee will be assessed for all cancellations made in writing prior to 14 days before the start of the event. After that time, no refunds will be made.
