Instructor: Gary Warner

No image available Biography: Gary joined the KLETC instructional staff in September 2015 after retiring from the Kansas Highway Patrol with over 27 years of service. In October 1987 he graduated from the KHP Training Academy and was stationed in Marion County. In 1993 he transferred to Stafford County where he remained until he was promoted to Sergeant as Troop F/Wichita Public Resource Officer in 2000. His background in law enforcement includes patrol, collision investigation, field training officer and background investigation. As Public Resource Officer, Gary developed and presented traffic safety programs, instructed Child Passenger Safety Technician certification courses and provided Traffic Incident Management training. He was the Troop F media liaison drafting press releases and providing interviews to television, radio and print media outlets. He has presented at various conferences at the local, state and national level. Gary holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice from Barton Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Fort Hays State University.
