Course detail: BSRT - Basic Search and Rescue Techniques
This course is designed for entry level firefighters to help them gain confidence in using a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). They will participate in search and rescue scenarios to build confidence in the equipment they use and their ability to operate in confined spaces. Training involves the use of the Kansas Fire & Rescue Training Institute's Search & Rescue Simulator.
Participants must furnish their own PPE including SCBA and have an up-to-date fit test.
