Course detail: CERTITR - Introduction to Technical Rescue
Certification Test for Introduction to Technical Rescue.

PREREQUISITE FOR THIS TEST: The candidate must have successfully completed the Introduction to Technical Rescue blended learning course. This certification test must be successfully completed before attempting any other Technical Rescue certification test (i.e., Rope I & II, Confined Space I & II, or Structural Collapse I & II).

WRITTEN TEST: There is a 50-question written test.

SKILLS TEST: There are four (4) skills stations.

STANDARD: The certification test is based upon the NFPA 1006, Standard for Technical Rescuer Professional Qualifications, 2013 edition, Chapter 5, Job Performance Requirements.

READING REFERENCE TEXT: The written tests are referenced to course materials and Jeff Matthews, Technical Rescuer, Rope, Levels I and II, Delmar. The specific referenced pages are listed in the Rope Rescue Technician Level 1 Certification Guide, available on the KFRTI website.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: The required personal equipment for each candidate is listed in the Rope Rescue Technician Levels 1 & 2 Certification Guide, available on the KFRTI website.
