Description
This course provides an introduction to the analysis and design of aircraft structures. Course content includes design criteria, structural design concepts, loads and load paths, metallic and composite materials, static strength, buckling and crippling, durability and damage tolerance, practical design considerations, certification and repair. Analysis exercises and a design project are included to better involve students in the learning process.

Course Schedule
When this course is offered online for open enrollment delivery, it meets for 10 live-online sessions held 2 times per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) for 3 hours. Additional Q&A sessions will be held for up to 30 minutes directly following each of the live-online sessions. All live sessions are recorded and made available online the following day.

Course Fee
Early Online Registration fee: $2,195*

Registration is open until the first day of the course; however, early registration is encouraged. 
The online course fee includes individual access to the Zoom course meetings and to course materials, readings, videos, and resources in Blackboard, the University of Kansas Learning Management System.
No additional textbook purchases are required outside the course fee.
