Course Description: In partnership with International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards, IBCCES, GovState's School of Extended Learning is pleased to offer two Autism Certifications. The Autism Certificate (AC) is available for all professionals employed in a setting that requires you to work or have contact with individuals with autism. This Certificate recognizes professionals dedicated to promoting quality care in the field of Autism. The Autism Certificate does not require a Master's degree.

14 hours of continuing education that directly relates to autism (either previously earned or obtained through IBCCES); renewed every two years. (Renewal fee: $149.00 every two years (Additional $51 for renewal training))
Becoming certified takes these steps:
- Complete Online Training Program
- Pass the online Autism Certificate Competency Exam (included in registry fee)
- IBCCES Verification
- Board Approval
- Certification Issued
Students will have 60-days access to complete the self-paced training (14 CE Hours).
Students will be provided a PDF study guide to download and keep as a reference. The assessment is online, multiple-choice and timed (must be completed in one sitting). Must score 80% or higher. There are no limits to the number of retakes and accommodations are available upon request.
Pre-Requisite: Bachelors level program + working with or soon to be working with clients with autism
Books: Online materials included in course fee. Registration indicates that you have read and agreed to the IBCCES Financial Terms and Conditions, Ethical Responsibilities and Standards of Practice, as well as the IBCCES Privacy Policy.
