Course Description: Dance for Beginners Youth Camp

Ballet and theater Dance for beginners with experienced dance instructor, Hilary Crockett. Learn ballet terminology and techniques - and express your artistic side with theater dance - while increasing flexibility, strength, and coordination in a welcoming environment. All skill levels welcome! Students are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing that allows them to move easily. Ballet slippers are optional, bare feet are fine as well. Please bring a water bottle. Ages 10-15.

Additional Course Information

Ballet slippers are optional, bare feet are fine as well. Please bring a water bottle. On 8/22, parents/caregivers are invited for the last 30 minutes to watch the camp show off what they've learned.

Hilary Crockett

Biography: Hilary Crockett is a dance teacher with years of experience teaching dance to all ages and levels. She has taught in schools and has choreographed for community theatre as well. She has worked for several studios including Boston Ballet, Connecticut Ballet, and the Kirov Academy in D.C. She was the school manager for The Washington Ballet. Hilary has a B.A. in Dance from UNC- Greensboro. She loves getting to know her students and sharing her love for dance with them.

Cancellation Policy

Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
