This exhilarating and unpredictable technique involves the introduction of soda ash into the kiln near the end of the firing, resulting in rich and varied surface effects not possible with traditional ceramic glazes. You will create ceramic artworks with slips and glazes specifically designed for soda firing and participate in the soda firing process.
