Biography: Kirk Gair, DC has been in private practice since 1999 and began using Erchonia cold lasers in 2004. He works with athletes of all levels, including Super Bowl and MLB champions, high school wrestling national and state champions, college and high school football, baseball, track champions and record holders, and with the Dodgers/Angels Fantasy Camp. Due to the results he gets with his laser protocols, he has a wait list and a 100% referral practice. In addition to treating top level athletes, he completed additional training in functional medicine and functional neurology under the guidance of internationally acclaimed Dr. Datis Kharrazian, and has patients come from all over the US for help. He appeared in Dr. Izabella Wentz's documentary, The Thyroid Secret, which was seen by over a half million people worldwide. In it he discussed the cold laser methods he uses on complicated thyroid and brain cases. Dr. Gair's methods were discussed in her best selling book, Hashimoto's Protocol. He has written articles for the Hypothyroid Mom website, which has over 1 million followers, and his Facebook page, www.Facebook.com/ThyroidInfo, has over 9,000 followers. He is featured on podcasts by Thyroid Nation, Rebel Health Tribe, and The Thyroid Pharmacist, Dr Izabella Wentz.

Biography: Kristi Morlan-Hughes, ND, IFMCP, FMCHC has dedicated her professional path to the study and practice of root-cause medicine. After graduating from the National College of Natural Medicine, she launched her private practice in 1997 in Alexandria, MN. She attended her first training with the Institute for Functional Medicine in 1999, becoming certified in 2015, which further reinforced her skills and appreciation for applying root-cause medicine. Dr. Kristi's private practice, DocereVita, offers personalized Naturopathic and Functional Medicine health care consultations, telemedicine, and lifestyle coaching in the west Minneapolis area. Kristi provides patient and practitioner Self-care and Professional Development Workshops and online learning experiences in her Shaking Your Tree Experience program. Her DocereVita Nutraceutical line is also available to practitioners, patients, and the public online and through the DocereVita Natural Medicine Dispensary. Dr.Hughes served as a Director of Medical Education at IFM for a decade, where she was responsible for the development of medical education, nutrition-oriented, and clinical tools to support patient education. She supported the Collaboration partners working with IFM, cultivated practice implementation assets, and participated as an educator and facilitator both domestically and internationally. As a foundational developer, original Advisory Board Member, and2021 FMCA graduate, Dr. Kristi remains engaged in the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy to this day. Dr. Hughes first took the stage teaching in 1999 with NutriDyn, finding her passion for practitioner education. Over the past twenty years, her consulting business and participation in medical education events have taken her around the world where she is recognized for her skills in teaching the art and science of medicine. She currently serves as the Chief Medical Education Officer for NutriDyn and participates on the Science Advisory Board.

Biography: Dr. Rich received his DC degree from Northwestern College of Chiropractic and then completed a three-year fulltime imaging residency. After passing the board-certification examinations, he accepted a position as an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Sciences Department at Northwestern. While at Northwestern, he lectured extensively for the imaging and continuing education departments, provided imaging consultation for the campus based film interpretation service, and treated patients in the University Health Service. In 1999 he was honored as Northwestern's Teacher-of-the-Year. In 2003 Dr. Rich accepted a position at National University of Health Sciences as the Director of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging. He was also Faculty Director for the Imaging Residency Program and Director of the National MRI Center. Dr. Rich re-joined the faculty of NWHSU in September 2005. He enjoys his time lecturing and spending time "in the dark" interpreting imaging studies. In his free time he spends time with his wife and nine children and serving in the local church.

Biography: I'm Jeremy Barthels, andsince the Fall Term of 2020, I have been a faculty member in the Basic Sciencesdepartment within the College of Chiropractic at Northwestern Health SciencesUniversity (NWHSU). Unfortunately, my abilityto practice within the chiropractic profession ended prematurely in 2011 aftersix years of clinical practice due to neuromuscular issues stemming fromlong-term complications of childhood cancer. Before joining the BasicSciences faculty at NWHSU, I worked for Rasmussen University (formerlyRasmussen College) for nearly 13 years. I started teaching in the HealthSciences department and eventually become a Department Chair and even worked asinterim Department Dean for Rasmussen. While employed atRasmussen, I was able to gain tremendous higher education experience in diverseareas. As a faculty member, I developed classroom instruction and managementskills, curriculum development knowledge by being a subject matter expert (SME)for over 15-course redevelopments, and experience with integrating technologyinto courses. As a Department Chair and Department Dean at Rasmussen, Ideveloped higher education management skills; including, facultytraining/management, student retention, course pass rates, resolving studentconcerns and complaints, project management, curriculum/programmatic assessmentand data collection, and implemented processes and curriculum changes toincrease diversity awareness and inclusion within the health sciencescurriculum. I also have a Master'sdegree in negotiation and conflict resolution, which has further improved myability to manage conflict and have it become a productive process thatharnesses growth, innovation, and confidence.

Biography: Donald C. DeFabio received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northeastern College of Health Sciences in 1984 and currently serves as Director of Chiropractic Services at DeFabio Spine and Sports Rehab.
He is triple board certified in Chiropractic Orthopedics, Physical Rehabilitation and Sports injuries as well as maintaining additional certifications as a corrective and performance enhancement specialist (NASM), Stecco Fascial Manipulation, ART, Graston, SMFA, FATKR and MUA.
He was named the ACA Rehab Council's Doctor of the Year in 2023 and the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors Doctor of the year in 2013.
In 2023 he received first place, Full Time Clinician Award, from Parker University's iPoster contest.
From 1991-1999 he participated in the Ironman Triathlon World Championships in Kona as a member of the race week and race day treatment team. He was the chiropractic doctor for Drew University athletics as well as Rutgers's Track and Field until discontinuing for health reasons in 2016.
From 2001 to 2017 he served as a member of the classification panel for the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation for Wheelchair Fencing as well as being the medical coordinator for the USA Paralympic fencing team from 1999 - 2015.
He is recognized as a Chiropractic influencer and lectures nationally on physical rehabilitation, active care, the thoughtful use of modalities, orthopedics, sports injury assessment and management, chiropractic technique and clinical examination techniques from a functional perspective. His Relevant Rehab courses are known to be engaging, well referenced, high energy and designed to give the clinician the tools needed to immediately implement into their practice.
He is a columnist for Dynamic Chiropractic, has been published in peer reviewed scientific journals and publishes The DeFabio Difference rehab and health tips via his website and YouTube channel which has over 39K subscribers and hours of applicable content.
