Course detail: 1st Amendment in Action: Disruptions, Auditors, & Elections

This class is an essential training session tailored for law enforcement professionals, focusing on effective responses to disturbances at public meetings, learn strategies for handling First Amendment auditors while respecting constitutional rights, and gain a comprehensive understanding of the laws surrounding elections. This class will enhance the officers skills and ensure each agency is prepared to manage these critical situations with confidence and professionalism. 
 LO1 - Participants will be able to distinguish between protected and unprotected speech. 
 LO2 - Participants will be able to appropriately respond to the lawful and unlawful exercise of free speech in a public forum. 
 LO3 - Participants will demonstrate the ability to correctly enforce Kansas election laws and manage disturbances at local polling sites.
