Course detail: Case Law Updates and Hot Topics

This course provides the most recent state and federal case law directly affecting Kansas street officers. During the class, there will also be deeper discussions about current hot topics in constitutional law enforcement practices, policies, and procedures. 

 At the conclusion of this training, participants will be able to: 
  •  Explain the implications of recent legal decisions on their daily duties and responsibilities. 
  •  Engage in discussions and assess the legal and ethical dimensions of these practices. 
  •  Integrate legal standards into their operational protocols. 
  •  Articulate the significance of constitutional protections and the impact of case law on policing strategies.
