Course detail: Surveillance and Surveillance Ambushes

Officers will learn strategies to enhance their situational awareness and response capabilities in such scenarios. This training aims to mitigate the inherent dangers officers face during surveillance activities, ensuring they are better prepared to handle unexpected threats effectively.

This class will consist of classroom activities, scenario based activities, and the use of simunition.
Learning Objectives: 
  •  Students will be able to identify the Pre-Op/Pre-Surveillance Needs. 
  •  Students will be able to identify the various roles of Surveillance Personnel. 
  •  Students will be able to execute proper lane numbering during mobile surveillance. 
  •  Students will employ the commonly used radio terminology during surveillance.
  •  Students will conduct a Lost Vehicle Drill.
  •  Students will identify Officer Safety concerns during any type of surveillance operations. 
  •  Students will explain procedures during surveillance ambushes.
Standard protective gear, Glock 17FX guns, and ammunition are provided.

The student will pass a practical examination with instructor observation during a field exercise that meets the objectives - Students must pass with an 75%.

Cancellation Policy

A refund less a $25.00 cancellation fee will be assessed for all cancellations made in writing prior to 10 days before the start of the event. After that time, no refunds will be made.
