Course detail: Undercover and Off-Duty Concealed Carry

Description:


Objectives:
  • Identify and discuss On vs Off duty considerations related to firearms deployment
  • Discuss gear selection regarding firearm and support equipment
  • Analyze the problem of interacting with responding on-duty personnel
  • Practice drawing and holstering with concealment garments
  • Practice and compare various methods for officer to identify self
  • Employ safe methods to draw, fire and simulate post shooting during live fire exercises

For those attendees who desire to come in the night before, please come to the Main KLETC Entrance, it is near the flagpole and marked with a large "A". For those with dorm room reservations, you may check in the evening before your training starts. More information will be provided through email approximately one before the start of training. Checkout time is 8:00 AM on your departure day or last day of training, please have all personal items removed at that time. Checkout time is Noon on your departure day or last day of training, please have all personal items removed at that time. Law Enforcement officers attending continuing education training are permitted to carry their firearms while on the KLETC campus. Law enforcement officers carrying a firearm on the KLETC campus must possess appropriate agency identification. We are a tobacco and alcohol-free campus. Refund/Cancellation Policy: A full refund of lodging fees will be available if requested in writing coned@kletc.org or kletc@kletc.org and received by KLETC ten days prior to the beginning date of the seminar. After that date, but prior to the seminar, refunds will be made, but a $25.00 administrative fee will be charged. No refunds will be made after the starting date of the seminar. Cancellation Policy

A refund less a $25.00 cancellation fee will be assessed for all cancellations made in writing prior to 10 days before the start of the event. After that time, no refunds will be made.
