Course detail: Active Shooter Response/Tactical Entry Training for Officer Survival

Course Description
This foundational program comprises close-quarters combat training, tactical thinking, and teamwork drills. It's designed for all street-level officers but has also been presented to numerous tactical/SWAT teams. This flexible system of room-clearing techniques is taught to small groups, down to a two-person team. We teach proven tactics that can be used by any number of personnel in any structure, the reality of what officers face. Elements of dynamic entry, stealth search, and active shooter scenarios are addressed in this program. Students will be aligned with concepts and tactics for clearing any structure. Officers will gain confidence in their abilities and co-workers' abilities. 

Includes a discussion on ethics, professionalism, proper use of force, and duty to intervene.

Bulletin

This is a physically demanding class. Classroom lecture is likely no more than 2 hours. The majority of this class will necessitate participants be on their feet and moving for the majority of the remaining time. Participants are encouraged to bring their own snacks, as well as Gatorade to replenish electrolytes. Bottled water will be provided by KLETC. Proper athletic footwear is required. Participants are responsible for their own travel, meals, and lodging.

Cancellation Policy

A refund less a $25.00 cancellation fee will be assessed for all cancellations made in writing prior to 10 days before the start of the event. After that time, no refunds will be made.
